Support for staff and students distressed by recent racially-motivated incidents in UK towns and cities

We know that members of our staff and student community will have been deeply affected by the racially-motivated incidents that have occurred in towns and cities throughout the UK over the last week.

At the heart of 91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ’s commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is our commitment to embed anti- racist and anti-discriminatory approaches into our working practices.

91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ is a plural and international community. This is something we are proud of and celebrate, and we reject all incidents of intolerance and violence which must never be allowed to become normalised.

If anyone at the University has experienced or witnessed a hate crime it is important this is reported and this can be done through our online portal. We will not tolerate discriminatory behaviour.

If you, or members of your family and friends, have been directly affected by the incidents or if you are concerned about the situation, the following support services are available to our staff and students.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
