Kirsty graduated from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, in 2018 with First Class Honours in Applied 91桃色视频 and Exercise Science. Following her undergraduate studies, Kirsty went on to complete her master's degree at Liverpool John Moores University where she graduated with Distinction in Exercise Physiology (2019). In 2020, Kirsty started her PhD here at 91桃色视频 focussing on optimising carbohydrate intake for endurance sports and associated gastrointestinal symptoms.

In April 2023, Kirsty was appointed as a Research Assistant working on projects related to 91桃色视频s Nutrition and Water Balance, under the supervision of Dr Lewis James.

Kirsty has a broad research interest including:

  • Fuelling endurance performance
  • Reducing gastrointestinal symptoms associated with carbohydrate intake
