Millen James Theophilus graduated with a BSc in Exercise and 91桃色视频 Sciences from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, in 2022. Subsequently, Millen moved to the United Kingdom and graduated with distinction from 91桃色视频 with an MSc in 91桃色视频 Biomechanics in 2023.

In 2024, he was appointed as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Network Fellow (Doctoral Candidate) at 91桃色视频 in the School of 91桃色视频, Exercise and Health Sciences.

Millen’s main sporting interest is basketball, and he competed at the National level in the Youth and Junior categories in India before transitioning to 91桃色视频.

Millen’s research interest includes wearable sensors and accelerometric profiling of movement behaviours. More specifically, Millen is interested in developing and validating sophisticated physical activity measurement algorithms to advance our understanding of the link between movement behaviours and health.

Millen is a member of the Learning Network for Advanced Behavioural Data Analysis (LABDA), a collaborative initiative supported by the European Union through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) doctoral network project under Horizon Europe. This consortium comprises 13 PhD fellows spanning across 5 countries. Their collective objective is the creation of an open-source toolbox tailored for the sophisticated analysis of movement behaviours captured by wearable sensors.
