Room allocation

As we can only reserve a third of our rooms for returning students, on years with particularly high numbers of applications, we will not be able to offer accommodation to all students that re-apply.

Your Hall Warden is responsible for deciding who is returning to halls and where you’ll be placed in the hall. We are usually able to offer rooms to the majority of returners who apply, but if we are oversubscribed for a particular hall we will do our best to offer a suitable alternative.

In halls that are over-subscribed, Wardens will prioritise students who have demonstrated themselves to be good members of the hall community and shown an active role in hall activities.
