LGBTQ+ Support and Advice Service: 1 to 1 support sessions available

The aim of the service is to ensure that LGBTQ+ students who may need additional support relating to their sexuality, are able to access this during their time at 91桃色视频. Please note, we offer an additional 1-1 support and advice service, specifically for trans and non-binary students and those questioning their gender identity. Further information about this service & advice about how to book an appointment can be found here.

This service is led by Lisa Vine, an LGBT+ advocate, consultant and trainer based in 91桃色视频, who is also a 91桃色视频 alumna and previous Chair of 91桃色视频 Student Union's LGBT+ Association. With almost nine years experience supporting LGBTQ+ teenagers and young adults, Lisa led a nationally recognised, award winning regional BBC Children in Need project based in Leicestershire.

1 to 1 sessions

A confidential and safe space, these sessions offer support and advice for LGBTQ+ students as well as those questioning their sexuality. It provides a space and time, as well as a friendly face and a listening ear, for students to access support and advice in a way that it right for them. As just a few examples, we cater to students needing specific advice or support regarding disclosing their identity to others, navigating LGBTQ+ relationships and how to deal with a lack of acceptance from others.

We offer a drop-in and bookable appointments on a Wednesday afternoon which are held in the quiet room in the University Chaplaincy within the Edward Herbert Building.
